Community Service
The lifeline of Exchange: neighbors and local leaders working together on what the community needs.
About the program
Finding a need and filling it
Community Service is its own program because its projects are broader than our focused child abuse prevention, youth and Americanism work. They are meant to benefit everyone in the community, and most clubs use them to find local needs and fill gaps in services.
Exchange has served communities since its first group met in Detroit in 1911. Over the years, clubs have run highway cleanups, cultural programs, fairs and festivals, and athletic events, and have raised millions of dollars for scholarships, equipment, sponsorships and educational causes.
