About the program
Celebrating the country we share
Americanism is one of the four national programs of Exchange. It promotes pride in the U.S.A., celebrates our veterans and honors the heritage of our country.
The program began after World War II, when patriotism was strong and Exchange members joined veterans and civic groups in praising democracy. It reminds us that America is a place people seek for safety, freedom and opportunity.
